Verizon Wireless Flaunts the Tough Kyocera Brigadier

Verizon Wireless presents a rugged new smartphone, especially equipped for the hard knocks of life and work. Many smartphones weren’t designed to withstand a fall, but the Verizon Kyocera Brigadier puts a halt to that tradition.  The not so stunning Kyocera Brigadier provides durability and resilience. It was made to get wet, dirty and dusty. This implies that Brigadier was ultimately made to be used in extreme conditions and the roughest of circumstances.  Brigadier is employee friendly since it weathers the storm and allows them to connect even when visiting sites undergoing serious construction or mechanical work.

Kyocera offers easy accessibility, steadfast keys for navigation, and programmable side keys to painlessly access other important features. The Kyocera Brigadier introduces an almost infinite array of features. With heightened durability, efficiency and convenience, Verizon has all possible reasons to flaunt the Kyocera Brigadier and its long-lasting exterior.

Durability Features

Kyocera Brigadier looks tough and is tough. With specs and features added to its stern exterior, Kyocera brags the following:

Sapphire Shield Display

With Sapphire Shield display, “real world” scenarios are combatable. Whether thrown against a wall, concrete or scratched with sharp objects, the Kyocera Brigadier remains undefeated and scratchless. Overall, Brigadier was meticulously designed to withstand abuse.

Military Standard 810G Protection

In addition to the intricately designed Sapphire Shield, this ruggedized smartphone comes with Military Standard 810G protection as reinforcement for added durability. It advances protection from not only dust, shocks, but also for temperature extremes such as rain, mild pressures, radiation from the sun, salt spray, humid temperatures and concentration. The Brigadier is also waterproof and carries an appropriate IP68 industry rating as it protects against concentration in water for up to 30 minutes and a depth of 6 feet. To ensure that the Brigadier isn’t penetrated by water, subscribers of Verizon should confirm that areas such as the audio jack, card slots and charger/port are sealed.  The ruggedized smart device is also certified for protection in any and all hazardous locations such as those heavily concentrated with flammable gases.

Glove and Wet Touch Screen Operation

Cold weather, rough terrains or wet hands can be a problem when handling smartphones. However, with the Kyocera Brigadier, there’s no need to worry.

Easily check messages and email, make voice calls, take photographs and much more with the Glove Touch screen Operation. This enables the touch screen to automatically recognize touch input while wearing gloves. (Up to 3 mm thick) The material, texture and thickness of the glove as well as how it fits the hand will impact performance. Furthermore, in conjunction with easy access for gloved hands, the Dura Grid widget offers popular settings that are uniquely designed with high-contrast and large icons for enhanced outdoor visibility.

‘The Flash’ Premieres with the Opposites?

The Flash is back in action, but I’m a little gloomy. Why the gloom? It was not what I eagerly anticipated. Yes, I am difficult to please, but it comes with the territory. The brawl among The Flash, Cold and Heat Wave was pretty riveting and thrilling, but I was expecting to see someone from the past – an old friend. To watch The Flash and ‘my’ old friend (*CoughRonnieCough*) in a tag team duo would’ve been worth my time and it’d give the series a little boost in action. However, that didn’t play out well. As underscored in the series, “Revenge of the Rogues” is a continuation of what previously happened between The Flash and Captain Cold. As if his initial encounter with Barry in ‘Going Rogue’ wasn’t enough, Captain Cold returned with his absolute opposite, Heat Wave. The temperamental underdog was no push over, but he needed to get his attitude straight. Cold and Heat Wave were totally incomparable. Cold was solid and a thinker, while Mr. Heat wanted things the easy and quick way.

Overall, watching the rogues go toe-to-toe with The Flash was insanely awesome, but I was nonetheless disappointed. I’ll tell you why…

Where’s Ronnie a.k.a Firestorm?

You do remember Ronnie, don’t you? That’s right; He’s the hottie on fire, literally. It’s quite obvious Ronnie has issues, but for the love of goodness, why disappear at an inappropriate time? So what, you’re undergoing major changes and you think you’re a monster, but there are more important things in life…such as saving the love of your life, Caitlin, from the two materialistic maniacs. My last encounter with Ronnie was nothing short on action since he was able to set the Reverse Flash aflame and fly off. Yes, it’s not impossible. Ronnie was no superman clad in an awkwardly tight suit with a matching cape but he did fly away. You don’t believe me?…see it for yourself. My expectations for Ronnie’s return were insurmountable for the winter premiere, but he didn’t pull through. I thought he’d storm in for the save, but I guess I was wrong. Where’s the love, Ronnie?

the flash premiere Ronnie a.k.a “Firestorm”.

While Ronnie went incognito for the winter premiere of the Flash, Caitlin did make some interesting developments about a project called F.I.R.E.S.T.O.R.M. I’m no rocket-scientist but I am pretty sure that project had something to do with Ronnie. While those in ‘high’ places wanted the project to go poof, Caitlin might pick up and discover something even more interesting and life threatening.

What’s up with the drama?

Boy likes girl, boy tells girl and the list continues. Whatever the outcome, it doesn’t need to get any more complicated than this. The tension between Iris and Barry is at an all time high! Frankly, I don’t like it! I’m an advocate of love but when it interferes with my focus, there’s a problem. The air is too crowded and Barry is going through too much to become distracted from the bigger picture at hand – catching up with The Reverse Flash. Barry needs to become faster and better at what he does. However, with his emotions running wild, he’ll never get there. What’s the solution? Beats me! However, a change must come!

Cold is not as dumb as he looks

Devotees of The Flash have varying perspectives of Captain Cold. Some viewers firmly believe that Captain cold is not the best at devising, but I for one believe that the guy is an absolute genius – he definitely has the mind of a top level criminal. Heat Wave wasn’t entirely privy to Cold’s schemes. He was cognitive of what plans were in store for the super fast Barry, but Cold deliberately withheld his underlined plans. Why is Cold such a nuisance? What does he really want to accomplish? The Flash was just a blur to those fortunate enough to cross paths with him. However, after this episode, the entire world knows that he exists.

the flash premiere Flash going toe-to-toe with the rogues.

After being arrested by the authorities, Captain Cold made it pretty clear that his plan was successful. The world now knows that The Flash exists. I’m bewildered at present and simply aching for the next episode to hit the scene to discern Cold’s plans regarding the existence of The Flash.

Another Rogue to join the Rogues

You never know when to draw the line when frolicking with DC Universe. Just as one door closes, another door opens. I was sure about Cold’s capture, but I was shocked to see how things turned out. If “Revenge of the Rogues” taught me anything, it’d have to be to expect the unexpected. I was positive that this was the end of the road for Mr. Cold, however, that dream was short-lived when someone rescued him. Viewers were not given a face, or name, but I am pretty sure Captain Cold was rescued by a woman (he DID say “Hey, sis.”). I’m even more excited about the upcoming series. Who is this woman to save the rogues?

Until then, see you.

3 Things I"ve learned from Watching "Revenge’

Revenge is a show of infidelity, betrayal and remorse. Like a sip of coffee in the mornings, it’sis a must have. We’ve had our ups and downs, but each week I keep going back for more. Why do I keep crawling back to the series? Undoubtedly, the lessons underscored within its theme have taught me several things about life. Here’s what I gleaned as a zealot of ABC’s Revenge.

Even if you’re a mess, act confidently

Throughout the series, we’ve seen the women of Revenge facetiously wear a facade. In spite of the storm, they managed to creatively paint the impression that they were giants. Women like Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe) and Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp) were pundits at appearing as colossal and mighty. What was the true nature of these women? They were being eaten alive. Victoria, quite contrite, had immense family issues. Her daughter loathed her duly for her monstrosities; she mourned the loss of her esteemed son, Daniel, and her once exalted husband, Conrad (maybe he was deserving of death.) To add insult to injury, Victoria shouldered a seemingly formidable foe. I’m no psychiatrist or doctor but it’s quite apparent that these dilemmas would unquestionably affect Victoria. After all, she’s only human.

revenge tv show Step out with confidence and grace.

What of the persistent and stubborn Emily Thorne? Much like Victoria, they’re one in the same. Emily had her demons to grapple with. The sheer fact for an identity change meant that she was up to no good… and rightly so. Much like Victoria, Emily ‘lost’ a father (but as you know, he was still alive). Assured that her father was betrayed, Emily took on the weight of the world. Her dad disappeared while she was young. She grew up in strange places and even spent some time in juvie. Isn’t that the description of a broken woman? Guilty! Regardless of the problems they encountered, Victoria and Emily would never break, they were always confident and in control (at least out in the open). Unless you knew them personally, you couldn’t tell.

Lesson learned: Never pitch your fears, concerns and disquietude thoughts out in the open. Always stay in control, restrained and cool. You can always break down in the snugness of your home.

Choose your battles wisely

It’s only natural to retaliate when you’ve been smeared. This perfectly describes Ashley Davenport (Ashley Madekwe). If you’ve been following Revenge, her absence shouldn’t come as a shocker. Once Emily’s bestie, jealousy caused her to walk the plank of shame. Bent on ruining Emily and Victoria for their wealth and prestige (in an aid to become like them), her own plots boomeranged to her devastation. Where is Ashley at present? The last time I saw her she was coerced on a plane by Victoria and Emily. Serves her right!

revenge Don’t bite off more than you can chew.

Lesson learned: Choose who you fight with. If you’re able to reasonably foresee that your nemesis is fully loaded, back the hell down. Ashley learned the hard way. Don’t try to make people with wealth and power look small. Never try to mess with their ego or position; They will eat you alive. It’s also important to keep a simple eye and be humble. Ashley was diametrically opposed. She wasn’t content with her lot in life. She wanted more.

Revenge isn’t the cure, forgiveness is

Revenge is all about getting even. If I hurt, someone has to pay. Throughout the series we’ve seen each cast demonstrate a tad of this poison. Charlotte, Emily’s sister, tried to take her piece of the pie when she set a bar aflame and left Emily to die. Why did this transpire? Emily was portrayed as the source of her predicaments. Victoria also trod a similar path. As a victim of Emily’s schemes, Victoria tried getting even with several stratagems of her own.

Tantamount to learning that revenge is never the answer, Emily played that out quite well. Slighted by Victoria’s shenanigans, thus taking her father away, Emily swore to make everyone involved pay… and that she did. However, was it worth it? Absolutely not! For one, Emily’s father subsequently resurfaced, alive that is. This means that she spent her entire life fighting for the death of a man who was alive. She could have built a family, but opted to pursue revenge. What a waste of existence! Secondly, Emily became a monster. Living a lie wasn’t easy and I’m quite sure she did some pretty heinous acts. Overall, Emily was bitter and alone (even with friends around.) Amidst these women who pursued revenge, trust was a common issue. With their misanthropy, the world was unfaithful. Revenge is absolutely terrifying.

revenge

Lesson learned: Regardless of how badly hurt I am, developing a spirit of vengeance will only lead to my downfall and bitterness. Revenge might seem good for a time, but the results are fleeting. Instead of getting even, learn to forgive those who have caused offense or discomfort. Regardless of how tantamount the crime/offense is, forgiveness can always be extended. Revenge is never the cure, but it is a curse.

The Best Smartphones from Verizon Wireless

Smartphones are ideal for keeping abreast with one’s tedious lifestyle and to productively perform business activities incase work is needed away from the office. Emails are checked while riding the subway or sipping a cup of coffee. The new smartphones from Verizon Wireless fit the bill perfectly. For those consumers who’ve not yet been able to narrow their favorites down to a single great selection, there’s hope.   Overwhelmed shoppers need only grab a cup of Java or tea and settle in while perusing few reasons why, depending on the customer’s requirements, they’ll particularly like one of these smartphones.

4 Best Smartphones from Verizon Wireless

Here in 2015, shoppers have the chance of examining the yummy capabilities of Verizon Wireless’ four best smartphones from their smartphone collection.

The HTC Desire 612

This model captures why Verizon’s Wireless Smartphones are on the cutting edge of hot new trends in phones. The HTC Desire 612 provides superb speaker action.  After all, who needs just a crystal-clear display when one is really in the mood to feast their ears on the aural delights of his or her music; or the soundtrack from fave TV shows and movies?  The HTC Desire 612 is one of a shopper’s heart’s desires when they check out the HTC verizon smartphonesBoomsound™, with its state-of-the-art stereo speakers which actually face front.  Why is this important?  Well, Smartphone owners don’t want their cell phone sound delights to sound “pretty decent” when there’s the option of providing their ears with a superb listening experience. As long as no one is around the listener objects, they can pump up the volume.   Do shoppers need a wafer-thin device?  How’s 4.7 inches or 119.38 millimeters?  A pretty cool, concise size for a display, one might say.

Moto X

If the shopper wishes, instead, to rock a Moto X, they’ll be in good company.  Experts in the field have been watching this Motorola design for a while and the consensus is that the current offering is a much more advanced version. What’s good about it? It’s got customizable feature options that are sure to catch the most discerning eye. The Moto X has stock Android inside the slim handset that lets the owner design their smartphone experience. Do they wish to only get personal calls? Done. Do they need a little quiet for a change?  Ditto.  One can hear a reviewer tell the tale:  “…It’s fast. The display is gorgeous. … Its 13 megapixel shooter is…solid.”  Enough said. Of course, many customers get excited about its reliability and price-range.

Droid Turbo by Motorola

Next up, a phone that will take a beating and keep on ticking.  The Droid Turbo by Motorola is worth looking into. It’s designed to last all day without losing power.  It’s not thin by any means…it’s a workhorse, with a look to match.  The Turbo does have a front-facing speaker, minimal branding (for a cleaner “look”) and has a screen that is AMOLED, which is a favorite feature behind most Motorola smartphone products. What’s AMOLED? AMOLED is nothing more and nothing less than an active-matrix organic light-emitting diode.  This form of electroluminescent material helps to keep techies and fans moving in the direction of devices with lower costs, higher power and larger screens. Like most AMOLED smartphones, the Droid Turbo offers higher refresh rates, which improves response time.  It also has infrared motion sensors, which detect movements of persons nearby with its highly sensitive components. These materials   pick up infrared rays emitted by human bodies.

verizon smartphonesHow’s the Droid’s external appearance?  Verizon is selling it in three distinctive colors.  The Droid comes in glossy red or black and in a third, more masculine version which has a rough-and-tumble texture specifically designed for slip-free gripping.   It’s been given a colorful name that fits the concept to Ballistic Nylon.  The finish reminds at least one reviewer of durable backpack straps.  This feature also strikes a chord with its worry-free material. It won’t dent or scratch as is often the case with flimsier designs. The Droid’s a heavy hitter when it comes to display size. At its robust 5.2 inch or 132.8 millimeters, it has a much higher pixel resolution of 2560 x 1440. This makes for an ideal picture resolution.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4

Finally, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has what shoppers might consider an impressive 5.7 inch or 144.78 millimeters display. Great for zooming in on that article one needs to read for school or for scoping a cool new video. It also has a feature named an S Pen ™ which—get this—lets owners not only take important notes, but  also allows them to highlight text when one needs to select certain passages.

There you have it. Any one of these models will please your smartphone palate and help you plug right in to one of the hottest phones around! Happy hunting for your brand new mobile device from Verizon!

Maleficent, Ursula and Cruella bring Evil to Storybrooke

The Crocodile is out! Finally, someone had the guts to send the Dark One riding on his high horse out of Storybrooke. I never thought I’d say this but I’m actually quite startled that Mr. Gold will no longer be a part of Storybrooke… or will he? Mr. Gold was not called ‘The Crocodile’ by sheer coincidence. He dubbed that name since he always had something up his sleeves. However, at this point in time, Storybrooke has been liberated from the mysterious, diabolical and backstabbing Mr. Gold – all thanks to his one ‘true love’, Belle. While Mr. Gold has been ousted from his throne (indeed villains don’t win), here’s what he might just send back to Storybrooke if he can’t return.

The Malevolent Maleficent

Disney is surely milking as many fairy tale characters as they can. It’s not surprising that Disney would unleash something as powerful as Maleficent (Kristin Bauer van Straten) on Storybrooke since Angelina Jolie’s Maleficent tore up the box office. What the heck…Bauer van Straten’s evil sells and it’s now crawling its way back to Storybrooke to assume its throne. If this Maleficent is as powerful as revealed on Disney’s ‘Villains list’, Storybrooke will have an insurmountable price to pay.

once upon a time season 4 Kristin Bauer van Straten as Maleficent.

We’ve not seen much of Maleficent in Storybrooke. While we know what look she’ll assume, we don’t necessarily know what she has in store for us. However, if she’s going to assume the original Maleficent, she just might turn out to be the lonely, psychopathic and bird talking Maleficent we know. In fact, the last we saw of her in Storybrooke she was trapped in a cave as a terrifying fire breathing dragon. She was later ‘slain’ by Emma in the finale of Season 1. As we know, nothing really dies in Storybrooke so her comeback is not a shocker. Maleficent was subsequently seen assuming a zombie form in the latter part of Season 2. While Maleficent makes her way back to Storybrooke, we can also look out for Diablo, Maleficent’s wings and spy, unfailingly accompanying her on her quest to royalty. Maleficent is inevitably re-introduced to us in ‘Heroes and Villainsas a power thirsty woman along with her pack of goons. She was bent on becoming Queen when she double-crossed the Dark One and several years later she remains with such a heart.

The Rise of the Octopus: Ursula

Ursula is likened to an Octopus and rightly so. However, unlike an Octopus, Ursula’s tentacles have been reduced by two. Instead of the usual eight, Disney’s Ursula has six tentacles. We did not see much of Ursula, at least the new cast to play her role, but we did see Regina in action as the extra limbed one. With the return of Season 4, Merrin Dungey will join the cast of OUAT. We’re not sure as to how many tentacles Merrin will boast, but we do know she’ll be the Queen of the sea and unrestricted by water. Like Ariel, Ursula will grow some legs to fish with the humans.

The Little Mermaid villain was previously voiced by Yvette Nicole Brown who made her first appearance in the series in Season 3. This appearance was made to address Regina who impersonated her in an attempt to deceive the little mermaid, Ariel. Regina did not lay eyes on Ursula but did hear her voice coming from a mirror.

once upon a time season 4 Regina as Ursula.

The Barbaric Cruella De Vil

I’m definitely not one for aesthetics, but if Cruella comes to Storybrooke in that ratchet wig, many fanatics will roll out. I’m sorry, but Cruella needs to get her hair straight…but I digress. Selena Gomez sang about Cruella and from what I’ve heard, she’s no one to mess with. Cruella De Vil, a play on the term cruel and devil, made her initial appearance in the 1956 novel The Hundred and One Dalmatians by Dodie Smith as the predominant antagonist. Cruella subsequently appeared in spin offs. In all her appearances, De Vil stole Dalmatian puppies for their fur. Her rational for skinning puppies holds strongly on the concept that short-haired dogs have very rough furs when they grow older. Coarse furs do not do well in terms of revenue within the fur fashion industry.

once upon a time season 4 Victoria Smurfit as Cruella De Vil.

Undoubtedly, Cruella de Vil (Victoria Smurfit) will return to Once Upon a Time rolling out in her Panther De Ville car. The Bat mobile has nothing on Cruella’s ride. Unfortunately, there are not many Dalmatian pups in Storybrooke so Cruella definitely needs to get another source to accumulate her furs.

Evil is made…not born

A catch with the introduction of Maleficent, Ursula and Cruella is that viewers will be able to love, sympathize and hate their characters. We’ve always heard that “evil was made and not born”. Finally, we’ll get to discern what led these three ‘Queens’ to become so evil. Throughout Season 4 the curtains will most likely be opened for Maleficent, Ursula and Cruella. We’ll get a chance to see through their eyes and eventually feel what they felt. Until OUAT returns for Season 4 on March 1, that’s a wrap.

The Flash, the Reverse and the Who?

Unfortunately, Barry didn’t live up to his expectations in episode 9; ‘The Man in the Yellow Suit. He had the chance to beat the fast out of The Reverse Flash but instead got a beat down. Clearly, Barry is no match for his arch nemesis. I’d go ahead and recount the whupping he received but that would only drive a sword through my heart (again!). However, I will expand on important details from episode 9 as they reveal a great deal about what’s to come.

A split in time… what’s the crime?

DC University has a way of playing with madness (and by that I mean super humans and others). We’ve not seen ‘much’ in DC’s Arrow, but that could all change with the entwining storyline of Arrow and The Flash. Fanatics of both series found it riveting as one of those ‘do it again moments’ but DC was staging the scene for something even more mind-boggling.

As I was saying…

Episode 1.09; The Flash vs The Reverse Flash Flash tries to keep up with the Reverse Flash

The Man in the Yellow Suit featured a Metahuman from Barry’s past who’s responsible for murdering his mom. However, the introduction of the ‘man in yellow’ is pivotal at this stage since it reveals the source of Barry’s frustrations. Carlos Valdes, a.k.a Cisco, saw all that when he discerned a streak of yellow and red light emitting from Barry and The Reverse Flash’s fisticuffs. On the night Barry’s mother was killed, young Barry then related that he saw a red and yellow streak. This is a clear indication that someone else had to be there when Barry’s mother died. Now it all makes sense. Where would the red streak come from? Could it be that future Barry was present when his mother died? Did Barry go back in time to prevent a crime from being committed? Is that even possible? With DC Universe anything is. Here’s why?

DC Comic’s history of time travel

“Time travel is a vicious cycle”. Regardless, superheroes with this ability never seem to learn that lesson.  DC Comics has a history with time traveling. This was apparent in the Return of Barry Allen and The Flash Rebirth. The laws of physics dictate that you cannot change things that happened in the past. Could it be that Barry wanted to break that natural cycle? What if The Reverse Flash went back in time to kill past Barry so that The Flash wouldn’t have a future? This might sound a little confusing but if you’ve been following DC Universe it’d all seem clear. Whether Barry went back in time to save his past self or his mother was the target, DC is up to something big.

A Fireball Added to Team Flash?

Firestorm Saves Flash in Episode 1.09 Firestorm getting ready to blast the Reverse Flash

The Man in the Yellow Suit also showed us another talent. The man pronounced dead several months ago was resurrected. Ronnie, played by Robbie Amell, appeared to his girlfriend to demonstrate the ’monster’ he had become. After transforming into what seems like a ball of fire, Caitlin fled. Ronnie’s appearance at this time in the series is not strange. After all, he showed up just in time to save The Flash from another whupping.  To add to Ronnie’s ability to create and harness fire, he can also use it to fly. It sure does not get any better than this! What else can Ronnie do? Ronnie is seen as ‘half of DC Comic’s Firestorm’ who’s able to shape shift, boost his immune system along with other incredible abilities. Is Firestorm/ Ronnie the ‘Who?’ to be added to team Flash? This is highly probable but a little far-fetched since he’s a little wild. However, I’m pretty sure professor Wells will be able to tame him.

The ‘Who’ Returns to The Flash for Episode 10?

Captain Cold in Episode 1.09; The Flash Captain Cold after whupping Barry

The Flash episode 10, Revenge of the Rogues promo video reveals a familiar face. We’ve all met Captain Cold in Going Rogue. Captain Cold proved to be a formidable foe to Barry and was unchallenged and unmatched. With so many months of scheming, what can we expect from Captain Cold and his minions? He was a scoundrel in episode 4 and nothing less is expected when the season returns in January. His impact is expected to hit big with his comeback. Is Barry prepared? Will he need help? That might be the case. I believe that Barry will get help from a familiar face.

A Mere prediction: Firestorm and Captain Cold Faceoff

No, I’ve not see the return episode and I most definitely don’t have an inside source. These are all predictions of where the evidence is pointing. The promo video for Flash 1×10 shows Caitlin as Captain Cold’s hostage. As the love of Firestorm’s life, it’s highly probable that she’ll be rescued by him. This will turn out badly for Captain Cold and ultimately lead to his capture. By messing Firestorm’s lady, he’s setting himself up to get burned…and pretty badly.

Betrayal from an Insider

Flash 1×09 was a crucial episode to the series. Not only were we introduced to The Reverse Flash, but his identity was openly exposed to fans. It was rather obvious that Dr. Wells was The Reverse Flash but it was only vague as to how he appeared in two places at the same time. This takes us back to DC’s history of time travel . Could it be that The Reverse Flash traveled back in time to obtain the tachyon device? I doubt it since he has been in town for a while. Why not get what he want then leave? Whatever Dr. Wells is after, his plans seem to be coming to fruition since he’s aware of every move Barry makes. How will he be able to go up against The Reverse Flash in the ultimate battle when the time is right? I’m very skeptical but until The Flash returns, see you then…
